You knew this would come up sooner or later, so I thought we should start a new thread about it.
The peeps around here tell me ROTK is released on December 17, which means we won't be seeing Myythos online next Wednesday night. Although, that is the US release date. With the exchange rate being 1.29, it might not be released in Canada until December 23rd.

Matrix will never be the same as Star Wars.....Yes, the first Movie of the Matrix was very well done..but the next 2??? it sucked. I love Yoda's fight scene in Imax, you can actually see all the details in it

the theater down the street from has Imax. I love it. you catch all kinds of little things. For instance, the last matrix I'd never have caught the scene where a chick is groping another chick's bare breast in the front of the scene. Its only on the screne for a few seconds, but a 10 foot tall breast is hard to miss (its in the frenchmans club where everyone is in leather etc.)

Ok, for those of you who are concerned, this has NOTHING to do with the movie, but I thought it was interesting ... My friends in North Jersey went into New York City to do the whole "Trilogy Tuesday" thing yesterday and called me before their show started to tell me that they had a little surprise. Before the movie started, Andy Serkis (gollum), Elijah Wood (Frodo), Sean Astin (Sam) and Dominic Monaghan (Merry) came out into the audience for about 7 minutes before ROTK started. For those of you who know about my little Merry fetish you'll know that I was freaking and am insanely jealous!!!! ;D Anyway, thought that was cool, they came out and thanked everyone for coming, said the movie was great (like they'd come out and say if it sucked!haha) and then Andy Serkis broke out into a rendition of "My Way" in the gollum voice. LOL. They said there was a ton of cameras there, and my friend remembered seeing ET there, so check out the show tonight if you get it and see if they have anything on it. For those of you going tonight, have fun! I'm sure you'll enjoy it! (and for those of you wondering why i put character names, i know some people haven't even seen the movie so figured might as well give a little explanation and not expect people to know the actors names if they're not familiar with the films

If you're talking about what I think you are, they're right. This one was about as accurate as Fellowship was. There were a few things I knew were cut, one of them he didn't film, but I know of at least two things that are going to be on the extended edition so that's ok. (i'm still upset about merry getting shafted on screen time, but that's only because I'm a little obsessed! )

I saw ROTK last night. As far as "accuracy" this was not intended to be a National Geographic documentary. Argh!! In order to appeal to the masses, certain things have to be added, and many scenes have to be cut out. This is the difference between financially breaking even, and creating the most successful triology in the history of cinema. To insert my opinion, this installment "felt" longer than the first two. The ending, even though most of the literature was shaved off, felt a little drawn out. The special effects meshed with real-life extras was (once again) spectacular. Like it or not, you would have to admit images of this scale would not have been possible even just a couple years ago. Personally, I would have like to see Liv Tyler get nekkid, but that's probably why I don't make movies.
